As we head toward Thanksgiving with football and hockey in full swing, basketball underway, and college football heading toward the playoffs, there’s plenty of sports on TV.  If you’re DJing a sport, here’s a few songs for you to think about adding. As we head toward Thanksgiving with football and hockey in full swing, basketball underway, and college football heading toward the playoffs, there’s plenty of sports on TV.  If you’re DJing a sport, here’s a few songs for you to think about adding.

A-YO – Lady Gaga

You probably heard this previewed during the World Series.  It’s an upbeat, clappable song from Lady Gaga who has reemerged lately with some game-friendly music.  This could be used for walk-in, in-game, or anytime you need to fill.

Oh No – Goodbye June

This song rocks, great for hockey and football.  A hard rock song that gets you moving.

My Way – Calvin Harris

Not as hard hitting as some of his other dance songs, but a good song for walk-in.

Open Your Eyes – Disturbed

We just listed this in several categories, but it’s a rocking song from Disturbed.  Would you expect anything different, add it to your hockey playlists and warm-ups now.

Let It Burn – Blackberry Smoke

A country song that rocks.  Add this, have it on hand, change the pace a little bit.

Kids – One Republic

Do you have a promotion with kids involved, this would make a great music bed.

Last Breath – Future

Looking for something to play from rap and hip hop, here’s something you can throw in.  Use the instrumental for in-game, or the entire song as a warm-up.  If timed right, you could also play this coming out of a timeout with the sampling of “Gonna Fly Now”.

Set the Roof – Rae Sremmurd featuring Lil Jon

This has a fun hook and could be used for basketball or football, could even see it being used for hockey as well.

Out of My Head – The Griswolds

Good for walk-in, could also find this used in game situations, possibly for penalties.

New Song – Warpaint

Walk-in song that has a nice sound to it.  A little bit of a throw back to New Wave with a modern sound.
