The Suburban:  Robert Tanguay makes “Impact” as public address announcer

Tanguay spent 10 years at East End Paul Sauve Arena as Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announcer with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada before putting his stamp on soccer in 1990.  As Montreal Supra FC turned into the Montreal Impact, the voice on the mic has been the same for over 500 games (save for only one game missed in 2015) even with an ownership change.

With the revered Canadiens looking to move their American Hockey League affiliate from Newfoundland to nearby Laval after next season, could Tanguay find his way to the top level of minor league hockey?  Time will tell, but with his history there’s a pretty good chance.
