Welcome to Sports Sounds Pro, the newest version of the official sound program of SportsAnnouncing.com.  Sports Sounds Pro has just released a new version.  Below, learn more about Sports Sounds Pro, see some screen shots and highlights of cool new features.
Cool Features
PLAY LISTSUnlike original versions of Sports Sounds which gave the user only one set of 18 screens for play lists, now EVERY page can be used as a play list.  It's simple, click on the new PLAY LIST button in the top control panel.  You are also given the opportunity to create larger play lists by clicking on Shuffle until you see "Shuffle All".  Then Sports Sounds Pro will shuffle between clips on all of the screens you've activated.

NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW

A whole new set of 17 screens to play with has added 864 more sound buttons to bring the total to 4,320 sound buttons at your disposal!!!  OH MY, OH MY, OH MY!

MULTI PLAY is here!!!  Play two sounds at the same time.  Perfect for when you're playing your goal or touchdown celebration song and want to add a couple of little fun sounds.  Have a sound effect for your team such as a dog barking or wildcat growl?  Activate Multi-Play during a song and customize your songs!
LOCK ON/LOCK OFF feature that not only allows the clip to be skipped on a play list but it also prevents the user from accidentally playing the wrong track.  This is especially helpful when using Sports Sounds for multiple teams and don't want to play the wrong fight or intro song for the wrong team.
PLACE MARKERS to sub-divide your pages.  Do you have a page and want to keep certain spaces available for that clip you haven't gotten yet?  Do you have a couple of rows you want to save for certain situations?  Do you want to highlight the row of clips for rallies?  The place markers give you unlimited possibilities to better organize your pages.

HIGHLIGHT feature allows user to easily locate a song in advance and find it again when it's needed.

Scroll Bar.  Move forward, backward and "scratch" sounds with this useful feature.  Have a song, but want to start it in the middle?  Start the song, hit "P" for pause, then scroll to the point where you want the song to begin and hit "P" again.

CUE IT for when you have all of your libraries set and want to quickly create a play list.  Simply right-click on a sound button then click "CUE IT".  The sound will be sent to a special play list where you can play songs off of.  Simple click on "CUE" to view these files.  Keep in mind that the Cue List resets itself when you shut down Sports Sounds Pro.
FIND that song in a hurry by simply pressing the "Enter" key on your keyboard and type in your song.  Find it and you're all ready to play it!
CROSS FADE from one sound to the next with this great feature.  Click on the "X" between "Fade In" and "Fade Out" and make your events sounds even more professional with a smooth transition between songs.  You can also activate cross fade on play lists so you can step away from your computer and still sound like you're mixing like a pro!
MAXIMIZE option is now available so that Sports Sounds Pro will cover your entire screen!
RAPID FIRE allows the user to go to the next song on the play list by simply hitting the space bar.  This is an excellent feature for hockey teams by combining it with the FADE OUT function.  Select "Rapid Fire" from the Options menu, activate FADE OUT, that's it.  Play your clip, press the space bar when the play on the ice starts to have the clip fade out, then hit the space bar when the next whistle blows!  It's that easy.
48 sound buttons per page give the user the freedom of variety, which is the spice of life.  Program 48 different sounds that might be used some time and really give your event a professional feel.
HOTKEYS!!!  With the press of a button on the keyboard, your sound will play.  But it's not just limited to the letters.  The numbers on the keyboard and function keys also act as hot keys. You can assign up to four sounds per key by using the Ctrl and Alt keys.  Your hotkeys will be noted by a blue square with the letter/number inside.

Defined hotkeys like the SPACE BAR (Stop), P (Pause), "\" key (automatic fade out) make Sports Sounds easy for inexperienced users.

Volume control.  Easy slider bar makes setting the volume for your sounds easy.  Need to change it, just slide it.  Now with the added Voice Over feature, you can quickly fade your volume down to allow for announcements and bring it right back up to the same level you had.
FADE IN and FADE OUT access for all buttons.  Don't like the way a sound starts, fade it in.  Want that cool fade-it-out style so it doesn't sound like you just hit the stop button on a tape player?  Fade it out.  You can also adjust the rate at which the fader fades in and out.
Sports Sounds supports .mp3, .mp2, .mp1, .ogg, .wav and .wma files which means you wont have to re-record sounds on your computer.
ADD, DELETE and DRAG sound buttons while playing music.  If you want to change a couple of sound buttons and you are already playing your pre-game music, just a couple of clicks.  Want to change the order of your buttons, activate BUTTON DRAG MODE and click & drag!  With some programs, the sounds have to be stopped and you have to go into a special mode to make changes.  Sports Sounds gives the user the freedom to change buttons without any annoying skipping of sounds.
System Requirements:
  • Any computer made in the last five years should work.  I currently use it on a Pentium III running Windows XP, a Pentium-II with Windows 98 and a Pentium-I with 16 MB memory and running Windows 95 (which is a miracle in itself).
  • How much hard drive space do I need?  Not much.  If you use .mp3's, you should be able to get about 300 songs onto 1 GB of hard drive space.  I usually get about 220 .mp3 songs onto a 700MB CD-ROM.

Modesto High School - Modesto, California
This was taken on November 29, 2002 as the Panthers defeated Manteca.  This was the third/fourth quarter period break in which the cheerleaders were finishing a routine a preparing for music to be played.  I'd like to thank everyone at Modesto High School for being such gracious hosts and allowing me to do this game.  Good luck this season.
