Bill Law, who announced for 15 years for the Durham Bulls during their Carolina League-International League transition years passed away last week at the age of 88.

He had been with the organization since the early 1990’s and saw the rise of the organization thanks in part to the movie Bull Durham, the explosion of Minor League Baseball due in part to the Bulls, and a beautiful new jewel of a stadium that’s become one of the most popular parks in the country.

Every team has a Bill Law, someone who is known to everyone, regardless of how many games you go to and Law’s memory will be as much part of the team as the Bull or the blue monster.
