Dick Calvert has been the voice of UNLV sports for 50 years, but has been battling COVID since December.

“I’m not in good shape at all. I’m very weak. I had COVID, pneumonia, spots on my lungs. I’ve got a lot of weird things going on. But they say I’m in the process now of rehabbing at home,” Calvert said. “It’s gonna take a lot of time.”

Calvert believes it was calling games for New Mexico and San Jose State that led to him contracting the virus even though he was following protocols.
