The Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL are looking for a P. A. announcer, however seem to be treating the position as an internship. We always recommend finding someone of quality, rather than throwing someone into the position as it’s an important part of the fan experience.
The ECHL is the premier professional AA affiliated hockey league in North America and typically promotes its players to the AHL, one step below the NHL.
Some of the requirements are below:
- Minimum 1 year of announcing
- Public Address Announcing experience a plus.
- Experience using microphones.
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
