This isn’t about sports, but is about an announcer who was heard by millions and became a familiar voice to many riders of the London subway system.  Phil Sayer can be heard daily on London Undergroun platforms along with many other automated P. A. systems throughout the United Kingdon, he was 62.

Sayer had been a presented on BBC in the 1980s before setting up a voice over company with his wife.  He retired earlier this month after his health declined.
