Reading the headline, you may paint a negative picture of Dan Borne, the voice of Louisiana State University football for the last 30 years.  But it’s not.  In fact, it’s a great story made even greater.

When the University of South Carolina couldn’t play at home on October 10 because of flooding in South Carolina from the massive storm that has saturated the area, LSU stepped up and brought the game to Louisiana.  The school sent funds back to South Carolina, fans allowed those from outside the area to take their hotel rooms, and a lot of boosters helped those who needed it.

Borne, however, was stuck with a conundrum.  In Baton Rouge, LSU football reigns supreme so important dates are set around the football schedule, and that’s what Lance & Kylie Dupre did.  They scheduled their wedding on a weekend in which the Tigers were supposed to be on the road, and asked Borne to minister over their wedding.

Bill Franques, the voice of Alex Box Stadium, took over for the game while the happy couple had their dream wedding.
