“A stadium/gymnasium can be an exciting place for small children to run and explore. It also, however, can be a place where children can get hurt. Unsupervised children can fall while running or climbing on bleachers, railings or other equipment. They may also get lost in a crowd. Parents are reminded to closely supervise their children when attending any game, practice or other school activity.”

This announcement was originally written in 1997 while still announcing at W. T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, Virginia.  This announcement was then accepted by several high schools in and around the Washington, D. C. area.
