The Safety Warning should be announced BEFORE the teams take the ice for warm-up and again before the game if there is an ice cut following warm-ups.

“Ladies and gentlemen, watch out for flying pucks.  Though safety measures have been taken to ensure your safety, in some instances, the puck may be propelled into the seating area with enough force to cause serious injury.  If you are struck, seek out the nearest usher for assistance.  The [arena name], [league name] and its member teams are not responsible for any injury that may occur before, during, or after today’s/tonight’s game.”

If your team sells reserve seats, you can add the following line:

“If you would like to change your seating location, please visit the box office for assistance.”
