Hastings Tribune: ‘Terry’s Skybox’ to be unveiled Saturday night

We’ve seen pressboxes named after long-time members of the sports organizations from major league through local youth sports, however this one holds a special place as the community saw the need for a new announcer’s box and decided it would also serve as a memorial to a man who gave so much of himself to the rodeo.

The new booth was desperately needed, measures 10-by-24 feet, and was built in about two months prior to it being lifted into place to overlook the rodeo arena.  Friends and associates of Plambeck volunteered their time to build the new booth after a celebration of his life took place in 2015.  The event featured a barbeque dinner, silent auction, dancing and nearly $21,000 raised which led to the planning of the new booth.
