The University of New Hampshire has been busy this year getting a new stadium ready, and to help keep everything new, they’re also looking for a new voice.

The Citizen:  Contenders vye (sic) to become first PA announcer in new facility

New Hampshire’s, The Citizen, recently covered the auditions which saw a plethora of announcing talent make their way to the new Wildcat Stadium.  Some were new, some had experience, one brought his family including a three-year old girl who brought her own mic, one was three weeks old when he attended his first athletic event, but they all came together to try to be that first voice.

They watched a video club and auditioned.  The backgrounds included a 20-year high school announcer who was also a teacher and athletic director, a disc jockey and former news director, the current voice Dave Zamansky even came by, as did Tom Gauthier who has been a fill-in announcer at the school.
