What would you do if you received a suspension from your job?  Would you show up and work the front desk, take money in the parking lot, or work the lunch line?  You’d probably stay home, unless you’re Jose Bautista of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Bautista showed up to a game he wasn’t going to play in and decided to take a trip to the pressbox where he found the microphone.  He decided he was going to have a good time on the mic and even handed out a nickname to teammate Kevin Pillar.

Joey Bats isn’t too far off from sounding good on the microphone.  Who knows, maybe he could wind up behind the mic at the stadium after his playing career is over, like Rex Barney did in Baltimore for so many years.  It’s not unprecedented!
